Libby Edwardson is the new Bookmobile Librarian for the Bell County Public Library District.  Kathy Baird, Bookmobile Aide had been soldiering on alone since the retirement of former bookmobile librarian Patricia Hopkins.

Libby states that she is honored to be the new Bookmobile Librarian and is looking forward to serving and getting to know the residents of Bell county. Libby moved to this area 5 years ago from New York. She grew up in Iowa, studied Arts and Theater in Australia and Ireland, and is now proud to call this area home. Since moving here, she has worked with the local Girl Scouts, volunteered at Cooperative Christian Ministry, taught after school drama at the Intermediate school and been involved with the girls mentoring program.

Libby is married and has "4 wild and wonderful daughters - Grace, Hattie, Mabel & Essie."  When she isn't busy with all those girls she enjoys singing at First Christian Church, doll making and, of course, reading.

If you would like to have the bookmobile come to your home, please call Libby at 337-3422.   We realize that many bookmobile customers also frequent the libraries, and hope you will understand that first priority must be given to our customers who are home-bound or residents of facilities such as nursing homes.   Please call us with any questions:    337-3422 or  248-4812.

The Bell Co. Bookmobile participated in a past Pineville Christmas Parade.

Former bookmobile librarian Patricia Hopkins dressed for Pajama Day on the bookmobile.  Many bookmobile customers from nursing homes and senior citizens centers (and some individual customers) got into the act and wore THEIR pajamas on specified days, too.
